MANHATTAN — Alternate side parking rules are suspended for Good Friday.

All other parking regulations, including parking meter rules, are in effect.

Public libraries, mail delivery, garbage and recycling pick up, courts and the Department of Motor Vehicles are also following regular schedules, since Good Friday is not an official government holiday.

The New York Stock Exchange, though, will be closed, as it is every year. However, the bond and futures markets will be open in the morning so that they can react to the anticipated March jobs report, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The U.S. Department of Labor said the economy gained 162,000 jobs, but the national unemployment rate remained 9.7 percent.
