MANHATTAN — Conan O'Brien won't be back on television until September, but that's not keeping the funnyman from taking his show on the road.

The late-night comedian is embarking on a 30-city tour and will perform two shows in Manhattan, O'Brien announced via Twitter on Thursday.

"Hey Internet: I'm headed to your town on a half-assed comedy & music tour. Go to http://TeamCoco.com for tix. I repeat: It's half-assed," the former "Tonight Show" host Tweeted.

O'Brien has called the tour "The Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour" in a jab at the settlement he made with NBC, which prohibits him from appearing on television before Sept. 1.

However, the settlement doesn't prohibit the red-haired comedian from appearing across the street from NBC's home at 30 Rockefeller Center. O'Brien will perform two shows on stage at Radio City Music Hall on June 1 and 2.

NBC closed O'Brien's short chapter as the "Tonight Show" host after just six months when the network agreed to a $45 million settlement in January. O'Brien and NBC were at odds after the network decided to move Jay Leno's show to 11:35 p.m. after it failed to garner ratings at 10 p.m.

O'Brien has been spending his time on Twitter making jokes about his recent unemployment. He joked Thursday about going on tour to help cure his boredom.

“It was either a massive 30-city tour or start helping out around the house,” O’Brien said via a released statement.

Sidekick Andy Richter and members of the "Tonight Show" band will perform with O'Brien as part of the tour, which begins in Eugene, Ore., on April 12.
