MANHATTAN — New York-based JetBlue Airways announced Monday that it is offering $10 fares on flights between JFK and the airline's original 10 destinations in honor of its 10th anniversary.
The catch is that passengers must book their flights on JetBlue's website by 11:59 p.m. CST for travel Tuesday or Wednesday, March 9 or 10.
The $10 fares apply for remaining seats on flights between JFK and Fort Lauderdale, Tampa, Orlando, West Palm Beach and Fort Myers, Florida; Buffalo and Rochester, New York; Oakland, California; Burlington, Vermont; and Salt Lake City, Utah.
"February 11 marked the day of JetBlue's 10th anniversary milestone, but as we enter our second decade we couldn't think of a better way to pay tribute to 2010 than a monthly celebration with our crewmembers and our customers," said Robin Hayes, chief commercial officer for JetBlue.
In addition to the $10 tickets, JetBlue will announce a special giveaway opportunity for its New York City customers on its Twitter page.
"We are excited to kick things off in our own backyard with these $10 fares and Wednesday's giveaway in New York."
