BRYANT PARK — Celebrated contemporary designer and garment district advocate Nanette Lepore showed her Fall 2010 line in The Tents at Bryant Park Wednesday morning.
Celebrities including Kelly Obsourne, John Slattery and young star Abigail Breslin watched as the 36 outfits, many of them short dresses in a variety of interesting textures, were modeled on the runway.
In recent years Lepore has been one of the driving forces behind the "Save the Garment Center" movement, which aims to keep apparel manufacturers and designers in the area despite the rising rents and increasing commercialization of the once industrial neighborhood.
