MANHATTAN — Knicks forward David Lee had four points, two rebounds and one assist to help the Eastern Conference All-Star team hold off a furious comeback by the West to win the NBA All-Star game, 141-139, Sunday night.

Lee, the first Knicks player to be named to the All-Star roster since 2001, was a last-minute addition to the team. He replaced Allen Iverson, who skipped the game for personal reasons.

“I just wanted a bucket and a win,” Lee told the New York Post. He played 12 minutes in the game.

Miami Heat star Dwayne Wade put up 28 points, 11 assists and five steals to grab the MVP title in in front of a record crowd of 108,713 fans at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, the largest crowd ever to watch an NBA All-Star game.

Lee wasn’t the only Knicks player to have shine this weekend. With four Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders cheering him on, guard Nate Robinson took home his third slam dunk title, beating out Toronto rookie DeMar DeRozen.

After his win, Robinson promptly retired from future dunk contests, saying he hoped to pass the title onto Nets rookie Terrence Williams.

"If he were in the dunk contest, I know he probably would have won this one,” Robinson told the Post.
