Hundreds of mourners gathered in Greenwich Village Sunday to pay tribute to six-year-old Jasmina Anema, the little girl who inspired thousands with her cancer fight and visited with President Barack Obama the month before her death.

Anema’s kindergarten classmates sang ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ at a funeral service held on Washington Steet Sunday. She was cremated afterwards wearing a pink dress.

After being diagnosed with leukemia in January of 2009, her fight gained support from celebrities including Rihanna and thousands donated their bone marrow to help.

Anema, received a bone marrow transplant in June. Sadly, her body rejected it.

She met President Obama in December through the Make-A-Wish foundation.

After her death on Jan. 27, Obama said in a statement that Jasmina "showed tremendous bravery" and was "an inspiration."

In lieu of flowers, Jasmina's family is asking for donations to the One For Jasmina Foundation:
