MANHATTAN — NY1's Dominic Carter was sentenced to one month of jail time on Thursday for attacking his wife.
The "Road to City Hall" anchor was permanently cut from the network on Wednesday night, an NY1 spokeswoman confirmed. Carter had been on leave since his November misdemeanor assault conviction for beating up his wife.
Carter's wife said that he had kicked and punched her during a fight in October, 2008.
NY1 is in the process of finding a replacement for Carter.
