MANHATTAN — Even a burglar needs a caffeine boost now and again.

A man was caught on camera making himself an espresso during a robbery at an Upper East Side restaurant on New Year's Eve, the New York Post reported.

The man took a 10-minute coffee break after breaking into Gina La Fomarina restaurant on Second Avenue near 81st Street.

"We caught him on camera," owner Paola Pedrignani told the Post.

The unidentified burglar got away with $1,000 in cash from a safe and about 10 bottles of high-end liquor in the 40-minute heist, the paper reported.

Police said the burglar broke into the restaurant by breaking a glass door.
