MANHATTAN — A pair of scam artists installed a device on a Bank of America ATM in Greenwich Village that allowed them to steal from customer's accounts, police said.

Police are now searching for the two men, whose photos they released Tuesday, who they believe have been running the ATM card “skimming” operation.

On Dec. 9, the men installed a device on a Bank of America ATM machine at 315 Lafayette Street, police said.

The device allowed them to steal personal information from customers and put the data on “cloned” debit and credit cards. The men then traveled to several Bank of America ATMs in Manhattan, where they used the cards to withdraw money from the customers’ bank accounts.
