MANHATTAN — A buff Bernard Kerik is headed to the big house.

It seems the disgraced former NYPD commissioner who's facing prison time for tax fraud has been hitting the gym pretty hard, according to photos he posted on his Facebook page.

"At first I didn't recognize him," Remy Stern, of Cityfile.com, told the Daily News. "He posted these earlier on his Facebook page, and we uploaded them. He is almost unrecognizable."

A source told the New York Post that Kerik's "been working out a lot" during his home confinement in New Jersey as he awaits sentencing on Feb. 18.  He faces 33 months in prison after pleading guilty earlier this year tax fraud and other felonies.

Kerik was given strict orders by a judge in White Plains not to leave his home after he was released on $975,000 bond and $500,000 bail in late October.

The last time Kerik was seen in public, he sported a moustache (now gone) and large gut.

Kerik lost the weight after he was jailed briefly in October.

"He was behind bars with people who don't have a favorable view of police, let alone a former police commissioner," Stern told the News. "That seems to have taken a toll."
