MIDTOWN EAST — New singing artist Barry Finer can count on one fan base to boost his album sales, the tenants at the building where he works as a doorman in Midtown.

Finer has worked at 155 E. 38th St. for 24 years where he frequently plays his own music in the lobby, according to the Daily News.

In 2009, Finer got political with a YouTube video song dedicated to re-electing Mayor Michael Bloomberg. The song, "Re-elect Michael Bloomberg," is apparently Finer's only music video spread to the Internet to date.

In a takedown of Comptroller William Thompson, Finer sings: "All the others have no clue/ They don't know what to do/ God forbid they win this race/ All the crisis we might face."

Finer declares on his Web site that he worked on his days off for two years and self-financed his debut album, "I'm in Love." The 2009 album a collection of odes to the city and to love he described as "Country Pop."

One tenant donated $500 to help cover the costs of production.  Others helped him with lyrics to "Bad Date" and "I Need a Magic," the News reported.

Finer, originally from Kharkov, Ukraine, resides in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, and has lived in the U.S. for 30 years. He writes all his songs, and plays the accordion and guitar.

"I'm in Love" contains mostly love songs, but Finer tries his hand at a club banger with "Dancing at the Club": "Let's create a bigger crowd/ Please keep up a steady beat/ Don't forget to stomp your feet."
