NYC Health: Tylenol recall, bed bugs, swine flu

Manhattan parents should check their medicine cabinets - the makers of children's Tylenol are recalling more than 20 liquid children's medicines due to a risk of contamination.

Bedbugs have invaded the New York City Health Department. The New York Post reports this is the second time the critters have caused problems for employees in the tuberculosis-prevention unit on the eighth floor of 346 Broadway.

Union members responsible for cleaning the city’s public schools attended the first of a series of Swine Flu seminars, Thursday. Local 32BJ is holding the classes to educate members on how to disinfect schools and keep themselves healthy as the fall flu season approaches.

Another reason to lose weight: researchers say obesity is now the leading cause of cancer.  According to a European study, one in 12 new cases of cancer are due to obesity.

The Food and Drug Administration will reconsider the controversial approval of a knee repair device. The FDA has admitted last year’s approval of the device came after pressure from members of Congress.
