Hamilton Heights restaurants hoping to take in more customers are luring diners with free cab fares to their choice of three uptown eateries.

So long as the cost of the bill is more than $40, the owners of Covo Trattoria, Rancho Gringo and Hudson River Cafe in Hamilton Heights, will send a car service to pick up diners who live in uptown neighborhoods.

The restaurants, located in a stretch of new development next to the Fairway supermarket on Twelfth Avenue and 135th Street, are making the offer ever night between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m.

The free ride, called "Get Paid to Play", only applies to those living in Harlem, Spanish Harlem, Morningside Heights, Hamilton Heights, the Upper West Side, Ft. George and Inwood.

The Viaduct Valley (ViVa) Harlem Restaurant Owners Association, who own the three restaurants and began the program, will also put $10 towards the cost of gas and throw in free parking to guests from the far reaches of lower Manhattan and New Jersey.
