A female bank robber cloaked in a red-and-white head scarf, sunglasses and a pair of gloves robbed a Harlem branch of Chase bank in a brazen afternoon heist last week, police said.

The woman entered the bank at 55 West 125th Street around 2:50 p.m. Friday, according to the NYPD. She passed a note demanding money to the teller and left with an undetermined amount of cash. Police did not say whether she was armed.

The suspect is described as being approximately 20 years old, between 5 foot 5 and 5 foot 6 and weighing approximately 115 - 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and a blonde wig, police said.

Police are asking the public for help identifying the robber. Anyone with tips should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or submitting information online at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
