BROOKLYN — Cops are on the hunt for a pock-marked suspect who tussled with a young Queens man on the tracks of a Williamsburg subway station — moments before the victim was struck and killed by a train.
Police have released a sketch of the suspect in the death of Joshua Basin, 20 of Howard Beach, and say he is 30 to 35-years-old with a thin build and dirty blond hair.
The frightening incident at the Bedford Avenue train station on March 23 at 10 p.m., left straphangers traumatized.
According to a witness, the drunken suspect was pestering straphangers on a Brooklyn-bound L train and "clearly looking for a fight" before turning his attention to Basin and another man.
When the train pulled into the Bedford Avenue station, the suspect allegedly pushed both men out onto the platform and began to fight with the victim.
The suspect was heard saying "It's show time," a witness told DNAinfo.
The brawl then spilled onto the Manhattan-bound tracks where Basin was hit by a train while trying to scramble back up onto the platform.
He was rushed to Bellevue Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The suspect, who was last seen wearing brown pants, a black rain jacket and black sneakers, managed to escape beforehand and fled the scene.
