HARLEM — A crossing guard was struck by a vehicle and injured near Amsterdam Avenue early Monday, fire officials said.

The guard was at the intersection of West 133rd St. and Amsterdam Avenue, near P.S. 161 Don Pedro Albizu School, at 8 a.m. when she was hit by the vehicle, an FDNY spokesman said.

The driver of the vehicle suffered leg cramps, fire officials said.

They were both taken to St. Luke's Hospital with minor injuries.

A pedestrian sustained a minor injury, too, but that victim was not transported to a hospital, fire officials said.
