QUEENS — A double shooting in Hollis early Sunday morning left one man dead and another injured — one of five fatal shootings across the city in a 25-hour period, police said.

The bloodshed was one of three fatal shootings across the borough alone overnight. In addition, two other men were shot to death in The Bronx and Brooklyn beginning at 5 a.m. Saturday.

The latest Queens shooting unfolded on 209th Place and 111th Road at 5:45 a.m. Sunday, according to police.

Cops said that a 28-year-old man was found slumped over the steering wheel of a 2011 Nissan Altima.

A 31-year-old man was found slumped on the sidewalk, police said.

Both men, who were shot to the chest, were rushed to Jamaica Hospital, where the younger man died.

His name was not released pending family notification.

The other victim was in stable condition, police said.

No arrests have been made and it was not clear what sparked the bloodshed.

As of Jan. 22, there were 20 murders citywide, the same amount as in 2011 during the same time period.
