BROOKLYN — A 17-year-old John Dewey High School student was attacked with a pipe Thursday morning by three thieves who jumped him and his friends for a cell phone and a pair of headphones, school officials said.

The victim was struck with a pipe outside the Avenue X school in Gravesend about 9 a.m. Three assailants approached the unidentified teen and his two friends, who are both 16, and swiped a bag containing the electronic valuables, Department of Education officials said.

That's when one of the attackers bashed the 17-year-old victim's head with the pipe, a DOE spokeswoman said. He was rushed to Lutheran Hospital.

One of his friends suffered scrapes to the face, she said. The teenager who had his headphones and cell phone stolen was not injured.

NYPD officials said they had no information about the incident.
