STATEN ISLAND — A 39-year-old cop has been busted for stealing two iPads, sources said Tuesday.
Anthony Rivera was arrested Monday for grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and official misconduct, police said.
A source said Rivera stole two iPads from an impounded vehicle. The NYPD's internal affairs bureau led the investigation.
The arrest comes as the NYPD and its commissioner, Ray Kelly, are embroiled in other controversies.
Deputy Commissioner Paul Browne has been in the hot seat for providing inaccurate information about the screening of an anti-Muslim film to trainees, while Kelly's son, "Good Day New York" co-host Greg Kelly, is being investigated for rape allegations.
