MANHATTAN — Two men were injured on the Upper West Side late Sunday night after gunfire erupted near a public housing building, police said.

One of the victims was shot in the stomach and the other was struck in the leg outside 120 W. 94th St. between Columbus and Amsterdam avenues shortly before 11:30 p.m., the NYPD said.

Both men were taken to St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in stable condition, police added.

The man who was shot in the leg was released from the hospital, while the other victim remained hospitalized on Monday, a police source said.

There have been no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.

Investigators believe two groups of people exchanged shots outside the 94th Street building, a police source said. The cause of the shooting remains unclear, the source said.

Detectives are still in the early stages of investigating the incident, but the shooting is not believed to be gang-related or linked to any ongoing feud, the source said. The gun fight appeared to be sparked by "a personal beef," the source said.

Both victims are in the their 20's, and one of them is believed to live in the neighborhood, the police source said.
