MANHATTAN — A man was found dead outside a Lower Manhattan subway station early Saturday morning, police said.
The unidentified 43-year-old man was found with head trauma on Church Street, near the Chambers Street station at 5:30 a.m.
Investigators believe the man was intoxicated and fell and hit his head.
He was taken to New York Downtown Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The medical examiner has not yet determined the official cause of death.
