Subway Cell Phone Snatcher Arrested in Harlem Attack

MANHATTAN — A man was arrested for allegedly assualting a woman and stealing her cell phone on a Harlem subway platform last week, police said. 

Allen Levonn, 25, was arrested on robbery charges for allegedly attacking the 43-year-old victim on the 2/3 train platform at the Central Park North/110th Street subway station Fri., Nov. 25, the NYPD said.

The woman suffered bruising to her face in attack and was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital for treatment, police added.

Levonn allegedly approached her on the platform about 8:15 a.m., assualted her and robbed her cell phone before fleeing the station, police said. 

The suspect was apprehended at his West 110th Street apartment just after 1 a.m. Thursday following a tip to the NYPD's Crimestoppers hotline, police noted.
