Bank Robbery Suspect Hit Chase Locations in Times Square, Chelsea

MANHATTAN — Police are hunting a man suspected of robbing two Manhattan banks over the course of a week.

In the first incident, on Oct. 14, the suspect walked into a Chase bank branch at 1411 Broadway in Times Square about 12:25 p.m., verbally demanded money and passed the teller a note before fleeing with cash, the NYPD said.

In the second incident, on Oct. 20, the suspect entered another Chase branch at 245 Seventh Ave. in Chelsea about 1:20 p.m., verbally demanded money and passed the teller a note before fleeing with cash, police said.

The man is described is between 35 and 40 years old, standing between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot-2, and weighing 180 pounds, police noted. He was last seen wearing a dark blue jacket, dark baseball hat and dark sunglasses.
