GRAMERCY — There'll be a "Whole Lotta Love" going on at an all-girl tribute to Led Zeppelin this month.

New York-based cover band Lez Zeppelin will be holding a mass marriage ceremony before its concert at Gramercy's Irving Plaza on Friday, Aug. 26., in honor of the recent legalization of gay marriage.

The band’s drummer, Leesa Harrington-Squyres, is an ordained minister who will be conducting the ceremony, which is open to couples of all persuasions.

“In light of the historic moment here in our very own New York, and as we are in the unique position of actually being able to marry people, we thought it would be a beautiful and magical way to say ‘thank you’ to our fans,” said guitarist Steph Paynes, who formed the band in 2004.

The ceremony will wed the first 50 couples who register for the band's $65 "wedding package," which includes two tickets to the concert, VIP seating for each couple and up to six guests, photos with the band and a "musical" ceremony. Pricing and registration information is available on a website the band set up for the occasion.

In the past seven years, the band, which touts itself as “all girls, all Zeppelin,” has toured across the U.S. and Europe and through parts of Asia. They recently released their second album, “Lez Zeppelin I,” which recreates the original Led Zeppelin’s debut album from 1969.

The concert/wedding will take place on Friday, Aug. 26, at Irving Plaza, located at 17 Irving Place in Gramercy. For more information, visit the band's wedding website at www.lezgetmarried.com.
