MANHATTAN - With just one day left to go in the legislative session, gay rights groups across Manhattan made a final push to show their support for legalizing same-sex marriage.

On Sunday, the group Queer Rising held a "Last Day of Marriage Inequality" march in Union Square, which migrated to the famous Stonewall Inn on Christopher Street afterwards.

"What an amazing rally," the group tweeted. "About 300 people joined."

Earlier, the group tweeted: "Today is the last day we ever have to be 2nd class citizens.

"We are shoulder to shoulder celebrating impending marriage equality."

And on Saturday, advocates packed into Central Park's Rumsey Playfield for a rally there.

The state is just one vote shy of passing legisaltion that would legalize same-sex marriage.
