MIDTOWN — Popular Japanese barbecue restaurant Gyu-Kaku, which already has locations in Midtown and the East Village, will soon open a new space in Times Square to serve up its flaming shrimp, steaks, and sake.
The restaurant's application for a liquor license for its new outpost at West 44th Street and Eighth Avenue was approved at a community board meeting Tuesday.
The ten-year-old food franchise has eateries around the world, from Illinois to Singapore. The Times Square location will open at the beginning of 2012.
