LOWER MANHATTAN — The Ground Zero mosque project is only expected to raise $7.5 million this year and next year, leaving it well short of the $100 million needed, according to The Post.
Park51, the developers of the mosque projected to be built on Park Place in lower Manhattan, believe they can bring in $15 million total by 2012, according to their tax-exempt application to the IRS.
The developers are still negotiating with Con Edison to buy a portion of the projected site, the Post says.
