MIDTOWN — The NYPD are looking for two men who were allegedly trying to break into rooms at a Midtown hotel.

Guests spotted the two men trying to gain access to rooms on the 18th and 19th floors of the New York Marriott Marquis in Times Square in the early morning hours of May 24 and alerted hotel security, police said.

As security officials were searching those floors, one of the men broke into a room on the 10th floor, police said.

A housekeeper who was cleaning the unoccupied room found him hiding in the closet. When he was discovered, the suspect then fled the room and tried to leave the hotel, police said.

As he was leaving, he was stopped by hotel security officials and a brief confrontation took place, police said. The suspect then fled.
