EAST VILLAGE — A host of establishments on Avenue B ranging from a coffee shop to a pizza joint will make their cases for liquor licenses to the local community board next month, according to Community Board 3's just-released May agenda.
The applicants include slice joint Solo Pizza at 27 Avenue B, bakery/coffee shop Paradiso at 105 Avenue A, Caffe Buon Gusto at 76 Avenue B, bar Boxcar Lounge at 168 Avenue B, and a to-be-determined establishment at 14 Avenue B.
A block to the west, another to-be-determined venture is going for a full liquor license at 34 Avenue A, where its previous applicants failed to earn the committee's approval in March.
Other noteworthy items include a to-be-determined transfer application for musician Pete Wentz's bar Angels & Kings on East 11th Street; a transfer application for the recently shuttered Mason Dixon bar on Essex Street; a transfer application for the long-dormant bar Superdive on Avenue A; a new application by the ambitiously named Toucan and the Lion on East 6th St., in the space formerly occupied by New Orleans eatery Mara's Homemade; and an application for wine and beer at Artichoke Pizza's sister shop Led Zeppole on 14th Street.
