HELL'S KITCHEN — Gentlemen, start your engines. The New York International Auto show opens its doors to the public this weekend, giving car buffs a peek at new models and beefed-up performance vehicles, as well as classic and vintage racers.
The car show officially kicks off Saturday at the Jacob Javits Convention Center on the far West Side, but auto aficionados can get a sneak peak Friday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Among the fleet of cars will be a $1,700,000 Bugatti, which is the most expensive street-legal car. There will also be smart-car concepts, and "non-emission" vehicles.
The New York International Auto Show is one of the largest in the country, and was the first auto show in North America, beginning in 1900.

The New York International Auto Show runs from April 22 to May 1.
