BATTERY PARK CITY — Get ready for ShackBurgers, Battery Park City.

The much-anticipated Shake Shack near North End Avenue is beginning to hire workers and will open in May, according to a job posting on Craigslist.

"A sincere, Shake Shack sense of hospitality is the only experience required!" says the posting, which seeks cooks, cashiers, supervisors and porters.

Shake Shack plans to start training the workers in mid-April to get ready for an opening next month, the ad says.

The Shake Shack is one of three Danny Meyer restaurants slated for the Goldman Sachs-owned building at 102 N. End Ave. Also on the way are an outpost of Meyer's Blue Smoke barbecue joint and a sit-down new-American seafood restaurant called North End Grill.

The Shake Shack is coming to the former Embassy Suites building, right, which is separated from the new Goldman Sachs headquarters, left, by a covered walkway.

Goldman is in the process of converting the 14-story building into a luxury Conrad hotel, slated to open by the end of the year. Other new tenants coming to the ground floor include a branch of downtown's Harry's Italian Pizza Bar.

The Shake Shack, which has its entrance on the building's east side, will be the first new restaurant to open since Goldman began emptying the building's retail spaces last year.
