CHELSEA — Police are hunting a suspect in a robbery that took place last Friday on West 24th Street between Sixth Avenue and Broadway.

Around 8 p.m. Friday, the suspect overheard a conversation between the victim and the victim's friend about looking to buy a new computer, police said. The suspect joined the conversation, saying that he had a computer for sale, and went with the victim to a local bank to take out money for the computer.

After the victim withdrew money from the bank, the suspect forcibly removed the money from the victim and fled the scene in a black, four-door sedan with an unknown plate number, police said.

He was last seen wearing a dark colored sweater with a large "Champion" logo on the left side, a black-and-white patterned scarf, and a black and gold Pittsburgh Pirates baseball cap, according to NYPD.

The suspect is described as Hispanic, 5-foot-9-inches tall and 250 pounds.
