EAST VILLAGE — A pizza place, sushi joint and lobster bar will make their cases for liquor licenses to the local community board next month, according to Community Board 3's just-released April agenda.
The applicants include outer-borough import South Brooklyn Pizza on First Avenue, Chinatown's classic and recently reopened Nom Wah Tea Parlor on Doyers Street, and new arrival The Other WineBar on East 9th Street.
Notable applicants looking to open in vacant spaces include Trim Castle Corp., which will try to bring new life to the space formerly occupied by Asian restaurant Rhong Tiam at 87 Second Ave., and the folks behind the long-shuttered Caffe Buon Gusto at the corner of Avenue B and East 5th Street.
