LOWER EAST SIDE — A fire broke out in a six-floor apartment building next door to exclusive nightclub The Box on Chrystie Street late Wednesday afternoon, fire officials said.

The fire department received a call about a fire in a fourth-floor apartment at 187 Chrystie St. about 4:42 p.m., the FDNY said.

No one was injured in the blaze, officials said.

A firefighter on the scene said a space heater mounted on a wall caught fire but there were only minor damages to the apartment.

Chrystie Street between Houston and Delancey was briefly closed to traffic while crews worked to extinguish the blaze. The fire was under control at 5:09 p.m., FDNY said.

An employee of The Box said the club would be open this evening, despite the scare.
