EAST VILLAGE — A host of well-known and brand-new establishments will appear before the local community board next week to apply for liquor licenses in the nightlife-rich East Village and Lower East Side.

Community Board 3 just released a list of nearly two-dozen applicants for new liquor licenses, renewals and transfers who will appear before the board on Mon., Dec. 6, for its marathon monthly meeting.

Notable applicants include the landmark concert venue Webster Hall at 125 E. 11th St., which is seeking a renewal despite a history of complaints; a new beer garden at 54 Second Ave., which covered its exterior in the colors of the Belgian flag and is seeking a new wine and beer license; and the ground-floor commercial space beneath one of the Bowery's last remaining single-room occupancy hotels, the Sunshine Hotel at 241 Bowery, which is seeking a full liquor license.

Other applicants on the board's docket include Nurse Bettie, the pin-up-themed cocktail at 106 Norfolk St. across the street from the now-closed venue Tonic, where previous applicant Mamajuana of Inwood failed to get the board's approval for a license; and a pair of East Village establishments — the bar Shoolbred's at 197 Second Ave., and Italian restaurant Via Della Pace at 48 E. 7th St.— seeking sidewalk seating licenses.
