FINANCIAL DISTRICT — A tourist who'd parked his car on Water Street earlier this month came back to find two suitcases had been stolen from the trunk.

The 63-year-old Ohio man parked his gray Ford Taurus in front of 55 Water St. about 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 12, police said. When he returned several hours later, he found one of car doors open, police said.

Two suitcases with valuables worth about $2,300 were missing, including a $700 Nikon D50 digital SLR camera, a $400 Nikon telephoto lens and a $400 laptop.
