MANHATTAN — Conan O'Brien will host a new show on TBS, the late night funnyman said on Twitter Monday.
"The good news: I will be doing a show on TBS starting in November!" O'Brien posted.
The show will air Monday to Thursday at 11 p.m., TBS said in a statement.
For months, the word on the street in Manhattan media circles was that O'Brien would land on Fox.
“In three months I’ve gone from network television to Twitter to performing live in theaters, and now I’m headed to basic cable," O'Brien said in a TBS statement. "My plan is working perfectly.”
O'Brien left "The Tonight Show" in January amid a firestorm following NBC's attempts to move Jay Leno's show into O'Brien's time slot. His theater show debuts in Eugene, Ore., Tuesday night, O'Brien said on Twitter.
