MANHATTAN — A 28-year-old guest at a Midtown hotel was allegedly raped by a worker there on Sunday morning, police said.
The attack happened at the Dream Hotel on W. 55th Street, authorities said. The victim told police that she was assaulted by the worker about 3 a.m.
The worker, Jaime Marin Lopez Mendoza, 27, was arrested at the hotel. The victim was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment.
Mendoza was arraigned Monday on a rape charge and is being held on $20,000 bail, according to court records.
A Dream Hotel manager said staff was cooperating with investigators and would not comment further.
