The new pre-k is at a family literacy center on the NYCHA campus for the Ravenswood Houses.

The building, which underwent a $3.6 million overhaul after the storm destroyed it, reopens Aug. 18.

The additional funds from this year's budget bring the total budget for the project to $33 million.  

Teens accused of misdemeanor crimes will have their justice administered by their peers in Far Rockaway.

Maria Lisella was born and raised in Queens and lives in Astoria. 

The groundbreaking will include stories, face-painting, carnival games and food from local eateries.

"Culture in Transit" will allow residents in Brooklyn and Queens to archive their neighborhood stories. 

Officials announced the start of the project, at Center Boulevard and 48th Avenue, Thursday morning.

The full day pre-K classes are planned for locations in Woodhaven and Ravenswood in Astoria.

Lincoln Center Local Live is a series of one-hour shows by musicians and dancers at public libraries.

The library branch will close Saturday and is expected to reopen in mig-August.

The services are being offered amidst delays in construction of the Hunters Point library branch.

The a $7.9 million Greening Western Queens initiative will wrap up soon after three years.

Library head Thomas Galante is the target of a probe by city and federal investigators.

The branch had a number of expensive design elements, including geothermal power.
