Neighbors argue the proposed extensions are "chipping away" at a shared courtyard behind their homes.

"How dare someone try to rob our culture and try to act as if we were not here," one politician said.

The person was hit at Manhattan Avenue and West 116th Street a little after 5 p.m., officials said. 

"Look what the MTA is doing. They're ignoring us," said one disabled rider.
