A professor of historical theology will speak Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 6:30 p.m. on the evolution of Catholicism in the Village, including at St. Joseph's Church on Sixth Avenue, the oldest Catholic church in the city.

Msgr. Thomas J. Shelley of Fordham University will tell part of the history recounted in his book "Greenwich Village Catholics."
