Poets are invited to head over to 61 Local and read their 140 or fewer character poems while the audience tries to stitch what they say.

The amateur embroiderers may not be able to keep up with the poets, so new "poems" will be created through what the audience hears and remembers.

A quick embroidery lesson will be held at 6 p.m., then each poet has 5 to 7 minutes to read. Embroidery supplies will be available.

Admission is free to the public.
