According to a release from the Civic Council, "Put on your old clothes and come to the sidewalk in front of Old Stone House/J.J. Byrne Playground, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., rain or shine. Join other volunteers in weeding and mulching street trees, picking up litter on sidewalks, and painting out graffiti on lampposts (must be supervised by adults).  Those people interested in participating in Fourth Avenue work for the Fall Civic Sweep should meet at 10:00 a.m. at the new planter on the southwest corner of Fourth Avenue and St. Marks."
