The legacy of Alice Austen (1866-1952), an early female street photographer who created images of the New York working class around the turn of the century, is visible in this new photography exhibition. "The New Street Types" draws connections between Austen's street portraits and contemporary images documenting New York's 21st-century subcultures.

The exhibition will include art by Alice Austen, Chris Arnade, Alice Attie, Dmitry Gudkov, Peter Funch, Andy Jones, Wayne Lawrence, Erica McDonald, Greg Miller, Christina Paige, Susannah Ray, Richard Renaldi, Ruddy Roye, Geordie Wood and AnRong Xu.

Access to this exhibition is included with admission to Alice Austen house ($3 donation suggested).
