Judith Sloan, writer, actress, poet, radio producer, oral historian and audio artist, is the featured performer at this month's First Tuesday reading series.

Sloan is the author of Crossing the Boulevard, a book about immigrants in Queens, and a new play, YO Miss! Teaching Inside the Cultural Divide!, is currently in development.

Held on the first Tuesday of the month, September through June, First Tuesdays is a neighborhood open-mic reading series sponsored by the Jackson Heights Poetry Festival.

It will be held at Terraza 7, 40-19 Gleane St. in Elmhurst, on Dec. 4 from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.

There is a $5 suggested donation.
