Israel Film Center presents "Rock the Casbah," a film directed by Yariv Horowitz, at Cinema Village in Manhattan.

Set in 1989 during the first Intifada, "Rock the Casbah" (Rock Ba'Kasba) tells the story of a platoon of soldiers struggling to maintain security on a rooftop overlooking the site of a fellow soldier's death. Tickets cost $11 for Cinema Village members, $14 for non-members.

From April 11 through April 18, in the days leading up to Yom Ha'atzmaut (Israel Independence Day), the Israel Film Center honors Israel's film industry by screening films and hosting industry professionals at several locations throughout New York City.

More information about the festival, including a full schedule of screenings, is available here.
