History Green-Wood Cemetery presents two days of special access to its catacombs and mausoleums, including many structures generally closed to the public.

Actors in period dress will introduce visitors to the tombs of famous figures in New York history, including members of the Steinway family (creators of the Steinway pianos), Stephen Whitney, and the aristocratic Schermerhorn family.

Visitors will be provided with a cemetery to assist in self-guided walking tours. Trolleys will be available for convenient transit between noteworthy structures between 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

Tickets cost $20 for a single day ($15 for members of Green-Wood Cemetery and Brooklyn Historical Society) or $30 for a weekend pass ($25 for Green-Wood Cemetery/Brooklyn Historical Society members). Reservations are recommended. More information and ticket reservations are available here or via phone at 718-210-3080.
