Assemblywoman Margaret Markey and Elmhurst Hospital are offering free flu shots to local residents on Feb 8.
The program is at Markey’s district office, 55-19 69th St. in Maspeth, from 9:30 a.m until noon.
“Given the severity of the flu over the past few months it is important that senior citizens and those who are most a risk for severe illness have this opportunity to get this immunization," Markey said.

Seniors will have priority for the shots. Children between the ages of 4 and 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian or have a signed consent form.
