The East New York Farmers Market is a community-run market including 23 local gardeners, 3 regional farmers, and 11 local vendors. The market serves over 14,000 with fresh local and organic produce, homemade arts and crafts, and a safe open space for families. Caribbean specialty crops such as karela, bora, and callaloo are often featured.

There are two East New York Farmers Markets:

1. Saturdays from June through November, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., on Schenck Avenue between New Lots and Livonia Avenues

2. Wednesdays from July through October, 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., on New Lots Avenue between Alabama and Georgia Avenues

General admission to the market is free, no reservations required.
