Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams will host a Uniform Land Use Review Procedure (ULURP) public hearing on a proposal to sell the Brooklyn Heights Library to a developer that wants to build a 36-story tower for condos and a new library. In July, Community Board 2 voted to recommend the sale by a 25 to 14 vote with four abstentions.

At this meeting, Adams will hear testimony from community stakeholders, including the Brooklyn Public Library and local residents, regarding their views on the pending application. It will be held in the Borough President’s Courtroom at Brooklyn Borough Hall.

The proposal will later be considered by the City Planning Commission and City Council.
